Weekly Match Report
The final week of this half term was a busy one with 10 sporting events in one week. Unfortunately, two go cancelled due to weather but it remained a busy week, especially for the juniors.
Tuesday the U12 and U13 went to Steyning to play in the rounders league, the U12 played Davison B and Shoreham academy and beat Davison 7 ½ – 1 ½ and drew against Shoreham 5 ½ all. The U13s also drew against Steyning School 4 all, so some great scores on a hot afternoon.
While they were playing the year 4-6 juniors were competing in a swimming gala at The Towers against Farlington School, after 19 races Towers won with 115 points to 103 points so a pleasing win.
Wednesday 8 year 5 and 6 girls went to Lancing college for the Sussex Catholic primary schools cup football tournament where they played 5 other schools in a round robin tournament and came 4th, which was a great achievement and experience. At home, a mixed team of year 5 and 6s played rounders against Windlesham School and after two 10-minute inning each won, 18 – 13.
Thursday the year 3- 6 juniors competed in another swimming gala against Steyning Primary school, it was a great atmosphere in the pool all afternoon and after 25 races, Towers won 152 points to 140 points. The girls were buzzing after all their achievements this week.
On Friday, the year 1s went to Jolesfield Primary school for a multi skills activity morning.
A well-deserved week off over half term before another busy half term and Sports Day on Monday 18th June.
