Rounders Match Report.

As the season draws to an end and with the last few games played, it has been great to see the progress all the girls have made and the commitment they have shown throughout.

On Tuesday, Year 9 played in the area rounders tournament, in which they played really well and showed how they have jelled together as a team over the last term. Tilly did an amazing job as Team Captain and the girls hitting and fielding played superbly too. Their first two pool games were against Steyning, which The Towers won 11 ½ – 4 and then Shoreham Academy, which they won 9-6. As the winning team from the pool, they went onto to play in the semi-finals against Chatsmore School, winning 8-5. After that, the girls played Steyning in the finals, but unfortunately lost 6 ½ to 3 ½. It was a close game and we fought hard and did well to come 2nd.

On Wednesday, Year 8 played Farlington at rounders. The girls played really well and showed what strong team they are, after 2 innings of 27 balls they won 13 ½ to 8 ½.

Good luck to Year 8, who are playing in their area rounders league tournament on Wednesday.
