The GCSE Photography course will form a means of personal enquiry and expression involving the selection and manipulation of images. Pupils will be expected to use creative approaches which go beyond just observing and recording. The course will involve pupils having a high level of personal commitment and independent response.
Pupils taking GCSE Photography will complete a range of projects using research to look at different photographic influences relevant to the themes they are presented with. They will be required to demonstrate their own photographic and analytically written responses to the themes. They will then produce a final outcome showcasing the skills that they have learnt. Pupils will present a personal portfolio of work and then complete an externally set assignment.
