Womens FA Cup Final
As soon as we got out of the minibus the girls were taken back to actually be at Wembley Stadium and how huge it was, there was people everyone and such a great atmosphere even outside the stadium. We had not soon sat down as the opening ceremony of the flags and national anthem started with over 45, 000 spectators. The atmosphere was building with thick areas of red and blue flags and banners. The final was against Chelsea and Arsenal rival teams that had previously met at the FA cup final. During the first half both teams played it safe and although Chelsea had a few shots at goal no goals were scored, but both teams came out after half time on fire and wanting to win the FA cup. Chelsea scored the first goal after ten minutes, soon followed by another and everyone thought it was all over, but Arsenal then scored making the score 2-1 knowing at any minute Arsenal could equalise but Chelsea secured their place with another goal winning 3-1. The girls got to see 4 great goals and experience the amazing atmosphere and excitement. A good journey back to school although everyone was pretty tired after a great day.
