We are now well into our Spring half term with all its associated activities. Year 11 pupils have survived their GCSE mocks and are to be congratulated on their results, which bode well for the summer. The other senior girls have also been steadily working through their mid-year tests, the preparation for which they will find hugely beneficial when revising for their summer exams.
While all this was happening a number of girls completed scholarship assessments, which have highlighted many extremely talented pupils.
I myself, was at The Catholic Independent Schools’ Conference in London earlier this month, at which our guest speaker was Baron Patten of Barnes, who gave a very personal and moving account of his life, with particular to his experience as a scholarship boy in independent schools.
Pupils are busy preparing for our House Singing competition on 15th February. Our House events are very impressive and are really valuable for the leadership opportunities they afford senior house officials and the chance to shine that they give everyone else – such important facets of Towers life.
