So, where has this half term gone?
Since my last entry we have continued with “parents’ evening season” which culminated in the Junior Parents’ Evening, followed by Year 9 Parents’ and Options Evening yesterday.
As usual, pupils across the school have been busy with sports fixtures, which can now be played under the floodlights, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful PTA.
This week we have mirrored the nationwide campaign to encourage children to eat their vegetables. Not only has the dining room been littered with vicious and angry-looking vegetables, but we also recorded a short but very humorous sketch yesterday, which ended in a whole-school vegetable “battle”. Great fun was had by all, with no vegetables being harmed (although some were eaten raw!) in the process.
Yesterday Year 7 spent the day learning about living in Medieval Times, which frankly looked very grim! The girls were suitably attired in period dress, which undoubtedly helped them get a feel for that historical period.
On our return after half term, we will be preparing for our Open Evening on 14th March from 6.00till 8.00pm. As always, we would love your company for this fun-filled action-packed event. Please bring friends and relatives along, particularly if they may be interested in The Towers.
Wishing you a lovely half term with your families.
