Weekly Sports Report – 1st October
This week has been very busy with preparations for the PGL Netball weekend on Friday 12th October and football trials for U12 and U14s. With the lovely weather, it been great to see so many girls out at lunchtime on the courts and attending clubs.
Wednesday afternoon was a busy afternoon for fixtures, with two teams playing against Sion’s U10 and U11 mixed teams. The U11 team narrowly lost 7-5 after a good first and last quarter. The U10s won their first game 6-4 with some great goals from Kitty and Eve. Following those games the U12A and B netball teams played Christ’s Hospital, two excellent games in which the girls showed great determination and commitment. The A team won 14-8 but unfortunately the B team, after taking the lead initially, lost their match.
On Thursday, the U15s played their netball league game against Sir Robert Woodard Academy and convincingly won 18-8.
Girl of the game, chosen by the opposing teams;
Year 5 – Kitty
Year 6 – Emily
