On Friday 8th March Year 3 and 4 went to Fishbourne Roman Palace and Gardens. The children had an amazing time and discovered so much about the Romans.
In the morning the children got to imagine they were back in Roman times by engaging in lots of interesting activities. They learnt how to grind flour, write on tablets ( not the kind we use today though) the Roman alphabet and how they built arches using a key stone. They also had lots of fun dressing up.
After the workshop the children got to admire the stunning mosaics and have a look around the museum. Fred and Frida (the palace skeletons) were a real hit!
